Hello, Joy. There are many pros & cons between liquid detergents & powder detergents. Liquids come in plastic containers, which can be a real problem once they are in the landfills; unlike powders, which are usually in boxes. The problem with powders (which I use, btw) is that they form into a 'crust' that can clog your drainage system (I haven't experienced this though, because I wash outside the house). With these, I would say it's a long debate. You may also want to check the labels for the ingredients used for both and compare. And organic is in. Check them out too. There are lots of organic products available in the market.
Thanks for visiting! ;)

I have another question. I'm moving from liquid soap, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent back to bars and powders, figuring the packaging is less damaging, but is this correct? I know sometimes the answers to these things are counterintuitive and maybe the plastics are actually less resource intensive than the paper and cardboard containers?
